This is not a promotional script that the actors signed with the lobby photo for hand out. Originally titled "3000" by Jonathan Lawton and Stephen Metcalf May 1989. This a revised (revised six times) script June of 1989, "3000" has been crossed out and "Pretty Woman" has been handwritten in. This is as the final movie was produced, indicates which scenes were omitted from the original script. Blue binder, 123 pages total. Slight wear, but in excellent cond. If you've seen the movie you can picture the actors saying their lines ( okay, I thought that was hokey too ). 3000 was originally written as more realistic and a very dark story, with a tragic ending. The happy ending is what finally was accepted by Garry Marshal. A little trivia, Lawton didn't do all the rewrites, but was the only credited screenwriter. Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer were looked at for the lead parts. Richard Gere wasn't initially interested, however Julia Roberts asked if he would "please do the movie with her".
