Silver mine near Georgetown. 20 pages. Printed by Press of Wynkoop & Hallenbeck, New York. Located on the Charter Oak Ridge (five miles up the valley of Chicago Creek). The lode was first discovered in 1868. Interestingly, begins by describing how risky early investment in Colorado mines was. Claims that the lode is "beyond question one of the strongest veins of the state," noting ten tons of ore taken from within five feet of the surface gave returns of from 300-500 ounces of silver to the ton. Includes entries from the Mining Review and the Colorado Miner. Ends with the company by-laws. Light blue covers with some light soiling. 9" x 5.75" State: Colorado City: Georgetown Date: 1876 FHWAC#: 34807
