Marsaut style. Large circular brass tag for the Protector Lamp and Lighting Company limited, Eccles, Manchester. Tapered riveted sleeve, vented. 9 inches tall, 3.25 inch diameter, this lamp was an eye-opener. It came with a small for page pamphlet entitled the Honest John, authentic British miners lamp circa 1875. The pamphlet states that John brought over a number of these original British coal miners lamps from the British coal regions.
