$1,000 bonds. Interest at 7% semi-annually paid in gold coin. 1) No. 1692. Issued to Isaac T. Burr, George B. Wilbur and Alden Spear of Boston. November 1st, 1875. Signed by Jos. Nickerson as president and Thomas Nickerson as treasurer. Three vignettes: large illustration of locomotive with mountain in the background, Colorado state seal, and eagles. Green border with orange/brown seal. Signatures punch cancelled. 52 coupons attached. 12" x 17" without coupons. Folds with some minor separation. 2) specimen bond. Not signed. All 59 coupons attached and punch cancelled. Signature line also punched. This line was formed to build a line for the Atchison, Topeka & Sante Fe from Granada to La Junta to Pueblo (completed March 1876).
