Very rare autograph signed letter by Queen Isabella( Yo la Reyna) in 1501. She was known as Isabella The Catholic and approved and financed Columbus' proposal to seek a new route to the Far East. 2 sided in Spanish. An order by the Queen to her steward to give sacred pictures of the Virgin Mary to her servant, and three yards of altar cloth is to be given to a Franciscan friar for Las Alpuxarras. Cosigned by Gaspar de Trizio. 12x8 5/5". Good quality tape repair to reverse.
