Beautiful R.E. Queen drug bottle from Reno. Made only from 1877-1879, Queen was an influential force in the American drug scene, later patenting California Fig Syrup. This is the rare version with the blank (slugged out maker) base, shown on p266 of Holabird, V2. Queen's business, started at a time when Simpson & Osburn and S.F. Hoole were the only drug stores, was the unfortunate victim of a major Reno fire in 1879. 5" tall, slightly purple, no chips. City: Reno State: Nevada, Date: Inventory# 40933
