Lot of 2. 1) Billhead for Pinniger & Queen, Wholesale and Retail Druggists, West Side of Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada. "R.E. Queen Successor To" written in pen over names. Dateline Reno, Nev., July 1st, 1882. Billed to Pierce Evans for a prescription, tooth brush, eye water, alcohol, and other items. Gazette Steam Print, Reno. Folds. 2) State Controllers Warrant issued to RE Queen in 1883 for drugs. Queen and Pinniger opened a drug store together in 1879. When Pinniger had to return to Great Britain for family issues, Queen ran the store and developed his famous "Syrup of Figs," one of the most popular laxatives in the US. Their drug store added a soda fountain in 1884. Queen left for San Francisco to produce his Syrup of Figs on a large scale, and Pinniger continued to operate the drug store under the name the Reno Drug Store.
