This is the log and archive of daily editorials read on the air by Missoula, Montana, radio station KQTE from October 1 to December 30, 1960. The first page is a title summary of each day of that quarter, and subsequent pages are the text of the editorials as read. Most appear to have been printed onto a long roll of paper, then the pages were folded to fit into the 9 x 15-inch binder. Occasionally, a few hand-written pages were bound in. At least one, possibly a guest editorial, has a signature stamp for Jack L. Green. The end-of-year editorial highlights the willingness of the radio editorials to take on controversial subjects, sometimes resulting in retribution against the station by those withholding advertising revenue. Topic listed in the front index include both Republican and Democratic Parties, school board, prisons, the handicapped, Civil Defense, hospitals, highways, hunting safety, and much more. This would be a great historical resource for what was happening in 1960s Missoula, the State of Montana, and the nation. The call sign KQTE is now broadcasting from Helendale, California.
