Lot of 7. 1) Best piece is an 1870 agreement between the railroad and the Savage Mining Company for 3,000 cords of wood. $6,000 to be paid now and $4.75 per cord as it is delivered. Signed by William Sharon as president for the V&TRR and Charles Bonner as supt. for the Savage. 5 cent green Nevada adhesive revenue stamp and 5 cent US IR stamps on the first page. 12.5 x 8" 2) Special pay receipt, 1878, issued to HM Yerington for $1,000 for his services as general supt. and vice president of the company. Signed by Yerington. 3) Five billheads/vouchers for various supplies to and transported by the railroad, including ice, gas pipe, PO box rent, and wood. Three are Virginia & Gold Hill Water Co. vouchers, two are V&T vouchers. Issued 1881-82. Virginia City Nevada Franklin Collection
