This is a hand signed letter by financier Russell Sage, instructing the agents and janitors of the New York Stock Exchange to allow one Charles W. Osborne access to vault 396 until this order is countermanded by Sage himself. Russell Risley Sage (August 4, 1816 – July 22, 1906) was an American financier, railroad executive and Whig politician from New York, who became one of the richest Americans of all time. As a frequent partner of Jay Gould in various transactions, he amassed a fortune. Very neat letter in very nice 8"x 10" letter. Please see photos for more details. [ New York City New York
