Four different railroad lamps including: One caboose marker lamp by Pyle with four ~1.5-inch diameter, glass Fresnel lenses, one red and three amber (yellow). About 6.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches across. Loosening the nut at the top lets you rotate the head so the red lens is facing in the correct direction whether the lamp is mounted on the left or right side of the caboose; Dressel lamp with four, ~4-inch diameter, glass Fresnel lenses, two red and two clear. The red lenses have deeper hoods than the clear lenses. No kerosene burner in this lamp. It is about 10 inches tall and 8.5 inches across. Embossed label below one clear lens reads // N Y , N H & H R R // (New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad). This lamp has seen heavy-duty service and has lots of stories it could tell (let us know if you can hear them); another Dressel railroad lamp, this one has only one, ~4-inch diameter blue (green) glass Fresnel lens. It includes the kerosene tank and burner, but no glass chimney or wick. The name WABASH appears above the Dressel label on the side panel; and finally, a battery-operated railroad lamp by Armspear Mfg. Co. This operated with a large cylindrical dry cell battery at the top with two clear bulbs exposed at the bottom. One bulb is in a curved, mirrored well, and the other is on a flat mirrored surface beside the first bulb. A slide switch on the lower part of the battery cylinder controlled which bulb was lit.
