Here is a really unique item, for you railroad & railway collectors. It is a really early pewter inkwell, with a flange base. This inkwell, was made between 1860- 1880. Someone saved it, and when they went to work on the Lee County Central, they punched the initials of the railway, into it, and also the letters " F K 2", which is probably a special route designation. This railway was an electric interurban railway, near the small prairie town of Lee County which is near by Amboy & Middlebury in Illinois. They had money problems, so it became one of the smallest and short lived lines. It has flip top, for quills or early pens. Great condition, and a beautiful item. (RH). City: State: Illinois Date: 1901-1930's.
