Located in Nevada (printed under company name). # 194 for 500 shares to C. H. Wisswell on September 30, 1865 in New York. Signed by Samuel J. Burrell and president William C. Joy. Dateline New York 1865. 25c Certificate revenue stamp. Not cancelled. Francis Hart & Co. printer. Quaint mining and milling scene. Staining (mostly from residue of glue on the back?). No edge or corner issues. We can not be sure when the official date of incorporation is, but in the 1865 annual report printed in the New York Times, it mentions that "filed in the office of the Clerk of the City and County of New York, November 2, 1864." This makes this company incorporating 2 days after statehood at the latest. Original incorporators were Joy, Burrell, JT Raplee and CW Merritt. Although the location is not mentioned, most New York companies invested in the Reese River, Humboldt County or Churchill County in that order.
