Lot of 11 includes some rare pieces of Hollywood history that will appeal to the fan of movie studios in the '40s. It includes an employee's pass for entrance onto the Metro Goldwyn Mayer lot, signed by Louis B. Mayer's brother, Studio Manager J.G. Mayer, that expired Dec. 1, 1941; MGM Studio Club membership card, signed by W. Craig, club president; Merry Christmas greeting from Norma Shearer, which appears to have been written in her own handwriting; 3 x 2 1/4 inch colorized photo of what appears to be a Charlie Chaplin impersonator; black and white candid photo of Jimmy Durante and five page Xerox copy of musical compositions by Durante; autographed photo of "Marion" Harold Reed, Bee Radio Artist, 1927; program for "Topsy & Eva," starring the Duncan Sisters, Rosetta and Vivian, at the Grauman's Egyptian Hollywood Theatre; Wax sealed cover from Famous-Lasky Paramount Films, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, canceled in 1927; 12 x 9 inch photo with what appears to be a printed autograph of Edmund Lowe, whose career included over 100 films in which he starred as the leading man; and 1943 copy of "The Interceptor" Camp Pinedale, Fresno, CA, newspaper, in which there is a story about American popular music and jazz artist Stan Kenton and his band performing at the military base.
