Located in Sierra County on the North Fork of the Yuba River. From Samuel Berry. Samuel worked for wages throughout the summer. He paid George "all up" and "had about one hundred dollars when he left there to come down here. There he made an additional 80 or 90 dollars. Sullivan Hunter took a notion to sell and Samuel bought it [his placer claim] cheap for $300. He made $68 in the boxes of clean up alone after paying expenses.. "Three of us owns the claim." RH Fisher of Clinton and Amous Buzell and myself. Claim lays about 20 rods from the river. It has a bar about 400 feet wide and runs back as far as they own the land.
