Water Scrip from the Mokelumne Hill and Campo Seco Canal and Mining Company. Dateline Campo Seco, Oct. 7th, 1867. No. 27, issued to Yee Sung (?) for $32.95 in water "along the line of the New Ditch from Chili Camp to Cat Camp." Signed by the agent. Also has Chinese characters at lower left. 4 x 7" Folds. According to Gudde, Campo Seco was located in Calaveras County 8 miles SW of Mokelumne Hill in 1850. It originally had no water until the Mokelumne Water Co. was established in 1856.
