First one seen by us! Junction City was a Gold Rush mining camp located on the Trinity River. Wells, Fargo & Co's Express. Commission to be attended by San Francisco office. From E.L.Reed of Junction City, Cal. Message reads: "Have bullion marked at Mint and return proceeds in coin to this office." They have sent placer gold to be worked by the San Francisco Mint! Dateline Junction City, Cal, March 12, 1895. Remarks: "Coin 219.27." Vignette of Wells Fargo locomotive at station. A few small tears along edges. 9.25" x 4.25"
