Very rare. We have not sold this in (at least) the past 8 years. Inc. in Colorado. No. 58, issued for 5 shares to Jerome Douglas in June 1880 in Foxburg, PA. Signed by president PS Mackintosh and treasurer Sands. Not cancelled. Black border and print, red pictorial seal, and vignette of two miners working. No printer listed. Folds, some discoloration. According to The Lake City Mining Register (Volume I, Number 49, April 22, 1881), the company owned 9 mining claims; 3 on Hurricane Peak in San Juan County (the Atlantic, Foxburg, and San Juan Belle) and 6 in the Red Gulch Mining District of Fremont County. By 1883, C&L report that the company only owned the Atlantic, situated in Grouse Gulch, Eureka District, San Juan County, Colorado. The vein was a fissure "varying in width, and containing a fair material, with considerable developments" [C&L, 1883, pg. 666]
