This was a British financed mine in the Red Mountain Mining District above Silverton. The company owned the Pickwick, Jackstaff, Pittsburg, City of Baltimore, Iron and Mountain Quail lodes, 40 acres. [The Aspen Times (weekly), March 14, 1891] The district boomed from 1882 to 1893. Red Mountain Town was located between Silverton and Ouray.
