This is a lot of 34 postcards containing 27 real photo postcards and 8 black and white printed postcards. These postcards present an operations center (Red River Lumber Co.) built in 1913 by Thomas Barlow Walker and serviced by the Fernley and Lassen Railway Depot, built from 1912 to 1914. This company was credited with being "the world's largest electrical sawmill of its time," says Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship. Additionally, the company operated one of the first electric railways in California in 1927. Most of the postcards are undated.
