This was a Fourth of July to remember in Reno: large crowds, horse races, and a major fight. Rooms were full, the police were busy at night, and the businesses cashed in. This RPC shows three distinct photos, the large crowd in the stands, Don Fernando (the horse) racing to the lead, and Don Fernando in the winner's circle. Lots of background information on the celebration from the newspapers. This includes longshot Don Fernando's win. Also the Max Baer and Paulino Uzcudun (the Basque Brawler) fight won by Uzcudun.
