Very rare, Review of the Fair Case in California by Curtis. c. 1899. Written for the Yale Law Journal. When Senator Fair, one of the Big Four of the Comstock Lode, died suddenly in San Francisco it was supposed his property was worth 40 million dollars, but this estimate was greatly exaggerated. This case is about the estate of Fair and 5 years of litigation. After Fair died, Mrs. Nettie Cravens came forward claiming to be his wife. After presented her evidence to a court at trial, she lost the case. Both covers detached and present, back cover has a partial newspaper article on Fair attached. Please inspect,sold as is.
