Riata and Spurs by famous Lawman and Pinkerton Detective Charles Siringo, inscribed by the author to his friend Pawnee Bill. The book is in poor condition with a heavily worn and beat up cover, detached after the title page, 1927 edition. Siringo was the Pinkerton detective who scoured the West undercover for bank robbers and bad guys, including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, as well as Billy the Kid, discussed in Chapters 7, 8 (where he talks about Garrett killing the Kid), John Wesley Hardin (chap. 11), Bill Longley, Sam Bass and others. It is an incredible read- 261pp, one of five books he wrote about his life and adventures. Siringo signed the front fly paper "Chas. A. Siringo", one of the very few and very rare Siringo autographs of this famous detective.
