Framed, signed by Richard Tilghman, capias issued out of Queen Ann's County , Maryland, in the name of Frederick, absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland and Avalore, dated February 3, 1773, to produce before the County Court the body of Pollard Keene. Richard Tilghman, 1746-1786, "Richard Tilghman studied law at the Temple in London, and then obtained employment at the East India Company, with recommendation for the position of attorney general of India. However, he died at sea before he could take up this position. He is likely to be the Mr. Richard Tilghman mentioned in the shipboard diary of the Fox returning to England from Calcutta 1780-81. Richard Tilghman's will, written and signed 15 January 1785, prior to a journey [back to] the East Indies names as legatees of money and/or land in Pennsylvania: his father James, eldest brother Tench, brother Philomon, his natural daughter Elizabeth and friend Mrs. Ann Walton." from wikitree.com.
