Issued purple print, 1867 Rocky Mountain Gold Mining Of Colorado stock. Another interesting western mining bond! Incorporated in 1864. Issued on May 7, 1867. 11 x 17". Trimmed tight at left edge. Vertical and horizontal folds with very small hole at center intersection and upper left staple holes. Fine. Located on the Gregory lode next to the Benton, the principal lode of the Black Hawk district. In 1867 they had 2 shafts, one of which was more than 200' deep. Both shafts were run on narrow gold quartz veins. The mine and mill were inactive in 1863-6 with no local agent when Hollister reported them. Not reported in Wallihan, 1871. These folks sold stock on a dormant mine. Very rare and attractive.
