A very rare set of 4 Keystone View Company stereoviews. 1) 37712. View of interior of Ryan Borax Mine. Reverse has text about this view, noting that "there are miles of tunnels like this in the Ryan Borax...now deserted because better borax has been discovered near Mojave." 2) 37711. "Wind-eroded Rocks at the Ryan Borax Mine." Exterior shot showing tunnel entrance and tow buildings. 3) 37713. Borax Crystal Pocket. Chip on one of the photos. 4) 37710. "Harmony Borax Works, First Industry in Death Valley." Reverse has history of the company located on the floor of the valley near Furnace Creek Ranch. All four stereocards have chipping to the borders. Photo areas are strong with minimal wear.
