Lot of 2. Pittsburg is a mining ghost town that was located 9 miles north of Crested Butte in Gunnison County. Letter is on Robinson's letterhead, dateline Pittsburg, Gunnison Co., Colo., Aug. 10, 1888. Addressed to attorney Geo. Wilbur in Chicago. Letter content is about the construction of a mill. Robinson is offering advice about where to get machinery and supplies, as well as possible employees. He ends the letter with this summary: "Your mill of ten stamps complete with concentrators would cost from 1 to 9 thousand dollars including site & buildings. You would need 3 men per shift besides your supt. & assayer." Cover has 1888 double ring Pittsburgh [sic.} cancel.
