A collection of seven different passenger receipts for the SS Central America from purser Hull's safe recovered in 2014 and all conserved by the Northeast Document Conservation Center in Andover. This group contains four different receipts originating in San Francisco (First Cabin, Second Cabin, Forward Cabin, Steerage) and three different originating on the East coast, New York to Aspinwall; Aspinwall to New York- second cabin; Aspinwall to Havana. The group includes the self-identified SS Central America boldly printed masthead form. The collection includes another special piece, a "purser's receipt", that should be signed by purser Hull, but the signature is illegible.
