Five vintage saloon photographs and an anti-saloon League Magazine. "The Searchlight" published April, 1913 at Los Angeles was the official organ of the Anti-Saloon League of Southern California. 9 x 12 inches, 14 pages; cover pictures President Woodrow Wilson and his quote: "A Government that looks after cow ticks, boll weevil and flood sufferers, ought to protect its Youth from the American Flood of Liquorized Debauchery, Depletion and Crime." The Saloon photos: 1) "The Crosby" Hollister, California, 1911; saloon interior, 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches on a 9 x 7 inch black mat; bartender at post, good contrast. 2) The Sun-Rise Saloon exterior; 5 x 7 inch photo on 8 x 10 inch mat; penciled on back is "Sunrise Wyoming"; two fellows out front; the ladies room is next to the Bock Beer sign; the side of the building advertises Flor De Baltimore Cigar. 3) The Northwestern Bar exterior with proprietor Dave Kunz proudly out front; Centennial Brewing of Butte Montana is being advertised.6 x 4 inch photo on a 9 x 7 inch mat. 4) Interior Brewery photograph; four men and a boy inside a brewery. Standing between barrels ten feet high; photo is 5 x 7 on black mat 8 x 10 inches. 5) Unidentified bar with two slot machines; vacant except for one man sitting, reading. 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.
