No. 83, issued for 1894 to George J. Ainsworth, president of Redondo Railway Company. Countersigned by I.A. Clayton. Printed on cardstock with fancy logo by Elgan Bank Note Co., Denver. Nice condition. Early pass for this company that began as The Saltair Railway. Formed in June 1891 by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they wanted to provide passenger service from Salt Lake City, Utah to the Great Salt Lake. In 1892 the name of the company was changed to the Salt Lake & Los Angeles Railway. The company was owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and provided passenger service to the Saltair Resort.
