Signed by C.C. Chaffee, Secretary and President A. Rhodes. Incorporated December 1863 and capitalized at $200,000; 2000 shares at $100 per. Waterfall vignette (which would be more closely associated with Lake Tahoe). Agnew & Deffebach printer. Red underprint ë$200,000.' Not cancelled. 25-cent Power of Att'y Revenue Stamp. Otherwise very nice! The 1864 Nevada Directory lists the Sam Patch in the American Flat District. There was also a Sam Patch at Esmeralda and Lake Tahoe. Rhodes started a stage line in 1860 from Placerville to Carson. Rhodes Marsh is named for A. J. Rhodes.
