This bond from the company is much rarer than the stock certificate. Great vignette of a group of workers picking cotton. Issued in London to raise 20 British pounds. Coupons at right. Signed by F.S. Pearson as president. From college, he went on to develop the electric transportation system in Boston and, with electric powered streetcars of major importance, in 1894 he was appointed the head engineer for Metropolitan Street Railways in New York City. This company was one of a number of business ventures for Pearson including many in Mexico and Brazil. Unfortunately, Pearson lost his life in 1915 as he was on the ill-fated Lusitania which sunk in the Atlantic. An untimely death at the age of 53. Waterlow & Sons, London, printer. Uncanceled.
