Lot of 95. Most old chromolithos of San Diego/San Diego County buildings & environs including the Hotel del Coronado, US Grant Hotel, Balboa Park, schools, street scenes, beach/bay scenes, etc., several created for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915-1916 held in San Diego; 65 old chromolithos (c. 1907-1915), 6 undivided back cards (c. 1901-1909, 1 Private Mailing Card (c. 1900), 18 B&W photos (all divided backs ((c. 1910-1915), 1 modern era card, 4 pieces of ephemera. Of special interest is a photo card postmarked 1907 depicting construction of a building. Post card sender states "we are working on the 6 story of this building, and we have a good view of the bay." What stands out is the swastika symbol in the center of the photo on the corner of the building. Given the photo was taken in 1907, the swastika at that time was a universal symbol for "good fortune" or "well-being" dating back thousands of years.
