This booklet is the Gold and Silver Tables for the San Francisco Assaying and Refining Works Co. formerly Kellogg, Hewston & Co. The booklet is hardcover with water stained covers front and back however very readable every page. Published in 1867. Directors were: W.C. Parrott, W.C. Ralston, banker; A. Wayward, insurance industry; L.A. Garnett, railroad construction and congressman. The predecessor company Kellogg and Humbert were refiners of gold largely found on the SS Central America a decade earlier. The San Francisco Assay and Refining Co. advertised that they would refine gold at the same price as the mint in 1868. 7.25 in. X 10 in. A rare booklet. Please see photo for details.
