Lot of five. All for Kruse & Euler. Ranging from a value of $1013.13 to $386.19. Kruse & Euler of San Francisco acted as agents for miners and mining companies. Vignette on left of assayer's building at 416 Montgomery Street. Reverse contains mathematical computations in pencil, likely where the clerk figures the commissions, etc.

A public sale of lots for the new town of Redding was had on the first of August but Judge C C Bush had bargained for three lots before that time and commenced the first permanent work done in the town by the digging of a cellar for a store on the southeast corner of Butte and California streets on the 22d of July 1872. A frame store was erected over this by Judge Bush under the superintendence of RH Barth on the 13th day of August 1872 the first bill of goods sold out of a building in the new town was sold by Judge Bush in person under the firm name of C C Bush & Co.
