Five Schwaab Stamp & Seal medalets issued for the semicentennial anniversary of the discovery of gold in California. The smallest is 18.54mm with two miners greeting one another and Marshall’s Cabin on the reverse. The miner using a rocker with an ox-drawn covered wagon on the reverse is represented by three examples including one with an integrated loop and one inset in a wreath. The fifth is a heart-shaped badge that was marketed for women. Gold-plated brass. VF-Unc.
