A collection of photographs and ephemera from San Francisco, California, dating from c.1870-1890. There are 18 photographs in the collection, and they depict a number of subjects: schoolchildren, harbors and beaches, the Golden Gate bridge, a military parade, Chinatown, a sequoia tree, buildings, and a portrait of a San Francisco resident. The collection contains around 122 pieces of ephemera, consisting of checks and ledgers from various San Francisco businesses. These businesses include auction houses, clothing companies, exotic import companies, material manufacturers, and a number of other consumer and commercial goods businesses. Also included is a framed ink art print of the San Francisco skyline signed by one 'Roberton Sebring'. This print dates from at least the 1970s based on buildings present in the skyline.
