Lot of 82. 1) Selby Smelting & Lead Company: assayer includes 8 assay sheets for the Hardenberg Mine. 2) Selby billheads are almost exclusively for rolled silver (after smelting). Rolled silver is a relatively thick layer of silver mechanically bonded over a metal core, usually brass or copper. 3) 28 billheads from Justinian Caire, assayer to the Utica Mining Company for materials used. Bills include Don Battersea Crucibles, cyanide, manganese, borax, potash, bone ash, collenders, sheet lead, distilled water, etc. Everything an 1890's mine needs to operate. 4) A very unusual Woldenberg Brothers, 1918 assay sheet for A. E. Rau. for 3.43 ounces of gold per ton.
