Signed by president B.A. Vail and secretary John Weaver. Black border and fancy logo, printed on yellow paper by Maverick & Wissinger, NY. Not cancelled. Deep folds with separation and small areas of soiling. 5.5 x 10" Not listed in the 1883 CO Mining Directory. Described in Balch, 1882: numerous claims in the Uncompahgre District (Ouray/San Juan Counties) and claims in the Pioneer and Rico Districts (in adjacent Dolores County). Most work has been done on the Western Belle claim. "The object of the company is to secure all the good mine claims possible in the San Juan district..."
