San Juan Pueblo seed pot created by Roy (Tanner) Tsigowanu and his mother, Stella (Tanner) Kwa Povi. Heavy clay pot with 3" diameter by 2" high, with .75" opening features an incised decoration of a dragon with headdress.

The Tanner family is known for their award-winning pottery.

This wonderful small seed jar features matte coloration that was achieved by meticulously carving away the polished red slip. The bottom of the jar is engraved "Tsigowanu/Kwa Povi/9-28-83. It is in excellent condition with a little minor wear on the bottom.
