This collection of Sandia 1 points were found in Kay County, Oklahoma and range in size from 2.375 in./ 60 mm to 3 in./ 78 mm. The Sandia is recognized by the asymmetrical shape where there is a shoulder on one side only. The Sandia is found 20,000 yrs. BP and predates the Clovis point by 5000 years making these three pieces significant finds. They are found in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri as well as several Canadian provinces.
