Very rare; we've never sold this before. Inc. in New Mexico. No. 296, issued for 250 shares to CL Long in Santa Fe in 1881. Signed by president S. Reed and secretary WL Bishop. Not cancelled. Two mining vignettes and one elk vignette. Folds, some staining, rough edges. This company operated at Bonanza City, New Mexico, now a ghost town located 13 miles southwest of Santa Fe in Santa Fe County, New Mexico. They owned the Bottom Dollar, an old mine abandoned by the Spanish (see The Weekly Herald-Dispatch, July 1, 1882).
