Stock Certificate from the Savage Gold and Copper MC. Incorporated in 1898 in Colorado. Certificate number 187 issued in 1900 at Colorado Springs, CO to E. M. Rose. Signed by J.R. McKinnie, and L. L. Aitken. Printed by Gowdy-Simmonds Co., Colorado Springs, CO. Size 11 by 3.75 inches. Not cancelled. Native American vignette. Adhesive brown seal, brown border. J. R. McKinnie was a well-known Cripple Creek mining man who became very wealthy. In his later years he lost his entire fortune. The mines owns that part the Gold King lode heretofore owned by Gold & Globe HM Co., etc. Has a $5,000 plant on the Gold King. Prospecting outfit on the Hanover Annex and the Briggs. The Gold King has a shaft 425 feet deep. The Hanover Annex has a shaft 125 feet deep and other prospecting shafts and trenches. The Briggs and Doyle group have three tunnels.
