Rawlings, on the letterhead of the Savage Mills, Washoe, Nevada, addressed to Savage Mine Superintendent Charles S. Bonner in Virginia City. One letter, two pages, Jan 8, 1868 describes the recent cold weather and the state of the mill; the second letter, Jan 27, 1868 transmits bullion from the Atchison and Savage Mills at Washoe City.
