Lot of 36. Four superintendents are represented: Charles Bonner (1868), F.F. Osbiston (1876), A.C. Hamilton (1874) and T.B. Shamp (1869). There is also an unissued receipt from the 1880s. See the names and signatures of Comstock miners lost to history. Also, one of the T.B. Shamp payroll receipts has NV and U.S. IR adhesive revenues with a tied cancel, which is not often seen. It is also interesting to see the wage shift: $4 per day (which was high for the time) to up to $6 a day for some employees. In general, receipts have folds, pinholes and light toning. They measure approx. 3.5" x 8.5" (Prag Collection)
