1871 deposit slip from Seth Bullock and 1870 Carpenter & Bullock bank book. Seth Bullock (July 23, 1849 - September 23, 1919) was a Canadian American frontiersman, business proprietor, politician, sheriff, and U.S. Marshal. He left Montana to start a hardware business in the booming camp of Deadwood in 1876. He arrived shortly before Wild Bill Hickock was murdered. Bullock became Deadwood's first sheriff. He was later close friends with Teddy Roosevelt.
