Exceptionally rare, western made vintage lime squeezers. No. 1. Lawton & Co., rosewood with engraved brass, 10.25" long. O. Lawton & Co. was successor to Haynes & Lawton in 1862--listed in 1873 as "Importers & jobbers crockery & glassware & proprietors Pacific Plate Works, San Francisco.“ No. 2. Haynes & Lawton, rosewood with engraved silver plate ends. 9.25" long. No. 3. J. H Schintz, San Francisco; rosewood and nickel plated brass. Joseph Herman Schintz made items for Will & Finck under contract, and probably made their lime squeezers, 10.25" long. No.4. Will & Finck, S. F., 9.75" long. Will & Finck of San Francisco supplied a lot of Saloon and Bar equipment, This Lime Squeezer has their name stamped on the decorative metal hinge, the hinge is brass, nickel plated, the wooden handles have a lovely grain, probably rosewood. Will & Finck were well known knife makers. No.5. Probably Will & Finck, S. F. Engraved name worn off, but design--Japanese woman with fan on one side and pot of flowers, birds hovering on the other side--on the metal is exactly the same as No. 5. 9.75" long. No. 6. Nathan. Dohrmann & Co., S. F., 10.25" long. Nathan, Dohrmann & Co. were proprietors of a great china store of San Francisco, and carried a stock of china, glassware, lamps and art goods that was not be surpassed anywhere. No. 7. J.
