7 Miscellaneous Montana Ledgers.
A): Montana Newspaper Clippings. Newspaper clippings of various sizes from newspapers such as Butte Daily Miner, The Anaconda Standard, Daily Inter Mountain, The Daily Tribune, Butte Mining Journal, and many more smaller newspaper companies in or near Montana. 1890-1891. Poor condition, many pages are no longer attached, binding is damaged, covers are no longer attached, and spine cover is deteriorating. 12 x 10 inches.
B): Montana Ledger. Monthly balance record book detailing statistics about various Montana organizations, companies, trade goods, and events. Examples of Montana organizations are Butte Daily Post and Montana Standard. Examples of trade goods in the ledger are postage stamps, receipt book, and paint. Examples of events in the ledger are the policeman ball and church donation. 1940s-60s. Good condition, black leather covers with red leather spine cover. 10.5 x 8.5 inches.
C): Blank order book from an unknown location. None of the pages in the ledger have any visible writing or notes of any kind. 1940s. Good condition, black leather covers with red leather spine cover. 12.2 x 10.1 inches.
D): The St. Anthony & Dakota Elevator Company in Chinook, Montana. Check book for the elevator company, check stubs indicating who bought what from or for the company. Also includes blank checks ready for use. Book contains a total of 1,000 checks including the check stubs from the used checks. 1934-1935. Good condition, black leather covers with red leather spine cover. 13 x 11.5 inches.
E): Moores' General Merchandise in Helena, Montana. General store ledger recording transactions of various items including box glass polish, steel wool, stove pipes, glasses, paste, etc. 1950. Spine cover is damaged and the binding is coming loose. 14 x 11 inches.
F): Record book for transactions and trades between Montana citizens and companies. Ledger contains dozens of statements and receipts detailing transaction information such as names, products, dates, and amounts. On back of the ledger covers there are hundreds of math problems written down in pencil, probably related to the transactions recorded in the ledger. 1898. Good condition. 16.9 x 14 inches.
G): Index Book, L. and B. Company. Index book contains information regarding people and objects in Montana along with probable values or debts to be collected. Undated. Poor condition, the pages are heavily stained, the spine cover is no longer present, and the binding is damaged and loose. 15.5 x 11 inches.
