Its latter models of steam car, with fast firing boiler and electric start, were considered the pinnacle of steam car development. 3-4) American Steam Truck Company. Orange 1922 and green 1923. Only 16 of these cars were built in 1922, an additional cheaper model being unsuccessfully added to the line a year later. 5-6) Brooks Steam Motors. 1930. Blue and green. Brooks Steam Motors was a Canadian manufacturer of steam cars established in March 1923. Its cars more closely resembled the Stanley Steamers in terms of engineering rather than the more sophisticated Doble steam cars. he New York Times reported the display of the bus on October 14, 1929, two weeks before the Stock Market Crash which heralded the Great Depression. The Canadian company had entered a legal limbo after the Great Depression as stockholders sought liquidation. Total production of the Brooks Steam Car is estimated at approximately 180 cars. 7) Endurance Steam Car Company. Number 29 for 2 shares to JW Deupree.
