This lot of 4 Shasta Dam historical postcards tells the story of this record-breaking dam. Postcard 1, circa 1930's, shows the dam right after it was built, fresh and new. Card 2, circa late 30's-early 40's, shows the Vista House, a tourist hotspot to view the brand new dam. Card 3 is a printed souvenir card in a fitting 1956 style with pastel green and blue hues. Card 4, also from 1956, is a view of the Pit River Bridge over Shasta Lake, where tour boasts have gathered at the docks, ready to show people across the lake. This visual history is a trip to Shasta Dam in itself, from the 1930's through the 1950's.
